Richard Hometchko's recipes:
The perfect Bloody Mary (actually a Bloody Ceaser if you want to be
technical)
Start with a tall glass, 14 to 16 oz.. Fill better than 1/2 with standard ice
cubes, do not use crushed or shaved ice. Next squeeze and drop in a wedge of
fresh lime. An old lime will add a bitter taste as will a lime that is not yet
ripe. A good lime will be firm but not hard. Fill glass 1/4 to 1/3 with vodka
depending on your tastes / mood. Do not use a vodka with a strong flavor, I have
found Denaka (from Denmark) to be the best. Then add salt, pepper and Luzianne
Cajun Seasoning - be generous with each. Then add three splashes of Lee &
Perrin Worcestershire. Finally fill the remainder of the glass with Clamato.
(tomato juice is too bland, V8 is too thick and never ever use a pre-packaged
bloody mary mix). Once all the ingrediants are in pour back and forth into a
shaker or large cup. Do not shake and do not stir, simply pour back and forth.
