To turn off the HP Media Vault

Momentarily press the power button on the back of the HP Media Vault to turn it off or complete the following steps.

1. At the computer, click Start, All Programs, HP Media Vault, and then Control Center.
2. On the Tools tab, click Customize HP Media Vault.
3. You are prompted for an administrator name and password if you set one up. For additional information, see Editing System Settings.
3. On the System tab, click Shutdown.

To restart the HP Media Vault

1. At the computer, click Start, All Programs, HP Media Vault, and then Control Center.
2. On the Tools tab, click Customize HP Media Vault.
3. You are prompted for an administrator name and password if you set one up. For additional information, see Editing System Settings.
3. On the System tab, click Restart.
4. Restarting the Media Vault turns it off and on—as if you unplugged and plugged it back in. None of your current settings or files are lost.
