I was actually going to just send 'Unproto' packets, but I had inadvertently asked my TNC to 'connect' prior putting it in 'Unproto' mode and so it kept trying to do that while I was sending packets.  Since I got connected, which isn't easy to do on Mir as it flies over the U.S.,  I left a simple message for the crew.

My text is in black.  The text in red is what is coming back from the Mir.  The reason some things got sent twice is because the QRM level is so high.
