What to do if the HP Media Vault is unresponsive
If the HP Media Vault appears to be unresponsive, do either of the following:
- Restarting the HP Media Vault using the Control Center
- Shutdown and restart the HP Media Vault manually

To reset the HP Media Vault |
- Double-click the HP
Media Vault Monitor icon
in the task tray.
- On the HP Media Vault Control Center, click Tools, then click Customize HP Media Vault.
- Click the System tab, then click either the Shutdown or the Restart icons in the upper right corner of the console.

To perform a soft shut down and restart |
- On the back of the HP Media Vault, press the Power button.
- The health light should begin blinking.
- The shutdown process may take up to two minutes to complete.
- After the HP Media Vault is completely off, press the Power button to restart.

If the HP Media Vault can not be restarted using any of the above methods, then try disconnecting the power cord and reconnecting it.
