Removing the system drive

The system drive is located below the removable drive tray.

Location of system drive

To remove the system drive
  1. Press the Power button momentarily to shut down the Media Vault.
  2. Open the door on the front of the Media Vault.

    3. Open drive bay door

  3. Remove the top expansion drive tray.
  4. See, To remove a hard drive from an expansion bay for additional information.
  5. Remove the four screws holding the system plate.
  6. Remove the system plate from the front of the Media Vault.

    7. Unlock hard-drive tray

  7. Gently pull the system drive from the Media Vault.

    8. Lift hard-drive try handle

  8. Remove the four screws from the sides of the system drive.

    9. Remove the system-drive tray
